Rickmers-Linie shifts Bangladesh-built ferryHeavy lift shipping line Rickmers-Linie has delivered the first ferry manufactured by way of a Bangladesh shipyard for European owners, agreeable the vessel Baltic Winter.The Western Marine shipyard in Chittagong built the 470 tonne ferry, measuring 49.8 m long and 11.2 m wide. The vessel is competent at transporting 28 cars and 147 passengers.Hundested-Rørvig Færgefart AS – the proprietor and operator with the newbuild – has named the vessel Isefjord.

Isefjord was lifted onto Baltic Winter using its two aboard 400-tonne cranes. The vessel ended up being transported to Hendested, Denmark over a six-week voyage. Upon arrival, Isefjord was discharged directly waters of Kattegat.
